I worked with a company for 6 years and really enjoyed it. I was a manager at the end of my time there, making VERY good money for someone my age! Then I fell in love…got married…had another baby…and well now I get to be a stay at home mommy.
Does anyone really truly understand how much a mommy does?!? I almost always find myself in the kitchen either cooking or cleaning. I sweep or vacuum a couple times a day. I change endless diapers, and entertain two wonderful boys until they go to sleep. How much does that pay a year? ZERO.
All week I cook, clean, and take care of this household 24/7 while hubby is at work. What do I get for that? "Oh thanks the house looks nice", or "Hey I cleaned the bathroom (for the first time since we've lived here)"
WHAT?!?!
I just want people, including all husbands out there, to truly think about what stay at home mommies do.
Cooking, cleaning, enetertaining, paying bills, errands and everything else to run a household is a whole lot of work. I do not sit at home and watch soap oparas and eat bon-bons all day. I litterally do not sit down sometimes until it is dinner time. Then after the kiddos are in bed, I am working on getting my degree in May. I go crazy inside these 4 walls all week while I work around hubby's schedule…and I get…A "Thank You'.
I guess I just get overwhelmed sometimes, and feel uner appreciated. But I honestly need a mommy day. No cell phone, no computer, no children, no husband. A day where I do not help ANYONE. A day where I don't have to run errands. Does that even exist??
Wow that felt better to get out! :)
Until next time…..
